Started the day snoozing the alarm every 5 minutes for an hour! Just couldn't wake up! Not like me at all!
Took the children at Junior Church to the park this morning. We tend to do that in August as there are so many people on holidays. They love it! A chance to just play and run around. It was a very stereotypical morning as the boys enjoyed a game of football while the girls skipped! There were those who just enjoyed playing in the playground and there was just time for a game with the parachute at the end!
Spent the afternoon helping Ann to empty the girls' rooms as they are having them decorated! They're going to share a room and are getting bunkbeds! It's going to be so lovely... red and white gingham! Aww!
Hannah is so funny! She makes me laugh when she says 'Mummy says bath but in Essex they say barf'!!! (Mummy is from up North!)
The evening has been spent preparing for our holiday club tomorrow 'Down on the Farm'. We have got 50 children registered so far. The holiday club is for children aged 5-11yrs. They come and take part in a fast moving, action packed morning including Bible teaching, songs, craft, games, etc. It is run by Chris & Sue Govus from Back2School.
Chris & Sue, sometimes supported by volunteer helpers, visit numerous schools taking assemblies and R.E. lessons. They also work in churches running holiday clubs and taking family services. Their aim is to present Christianity, its values and its views in a lively, thought provoking and contemporary way. This is done in the sincere belief that youngsters from all backgrounds should have an opportunity to hear what Christianity is about, be encouraged to think for themselves, check out the issues and make their own decisions.
I cannot wait to see the 'Fruit' of our week together!
Will update through the week. Night Night.
