Not long left...

Been back at work now for nearly 4 weeks! Only another 3 till half term! Then only another 7 till I've finished at the school. I am currently a nursery nurse. I work in the nursery section of a school, with the 3-4year olds. It is good fun but I'm bored of being in one place all the time. I love being out and about and each day being what you make it. It just isn't quite the same in a school.

I'm starting another job on Tuesday looking after my friend's children, Elise and William. The picture below is a very cheeky William from when he was 4! I used to look after William when he was a baby until they moved away to Dorset. But now they're back and I get to look after him again! The other picture is of Elise and Wills together. (They're a little bit older now!)

I'm back!

How bad am I? It has been so long! But what a mad couple of weeks!

Girls' Brigade camp was absolutely brilliant! The girls were really good and there were no emergencies! On the Wednesday we managed to trick the girls into believing it was 'National Appreciation of Nuns and Monks Day'! Inviting us to eat our meals in silence! The girls weren't too impressed, however us leaders thought it was a fantastic idea! From the moment we rung the bell for the start of breakfast until Captain Sally said it was time for squad duties there was to be silence! The girls were so good... using sign language to say please and thank you! I managed to get the giggles at breakfast and nearly choked on my toast! We repeated the silence at dinner time. The girls were a little more unsettled and were holding back the giggles! We ended the silence just before dessert announcing to the girls ' You have done so well girls, especially as it was all a wind-up'! You should have seen their faces! And the names we were called after!
On the Friday we played hunt the officer! Julie and Cindy dressed up and went to hide in the local town... we had to hunt for them in groups! In and out of cafes, shops, etc. until we finally noticed a strange person sweeping the pier! Julie was dressed in a green boiler suit carrying a black sack of rubbish and a broom! Cindy was disguised as a jogger on the beach! The girls loved it and I'm sure they will talk about it for years to come!
